Editor’s note

A reading list assembled while the project was running, sorted into articles, companies and video. Two items were singled out on the page as the quickest way into the subject: a magazine essay arguing that the digitisation of manufacturing would change how goods are made and the politics of jobs with it, and a short film illustrating the idea.

As a snapshot of the argument at the time, the list holds up better than most link pages of its age. The claims in it were contested then and some have aged badly, which is part of why it is kept rather than tidied: the enthusiasm is evidence. Links to other people’s sites are outside anyone’s control and some will have moved; where one has, the headline and the publication name together are usually enough to find the piece again. The links were collected for convenience, and listing them is not a recommendation of the companies behind them.

This site will list up several interesting sources for your convenience.

You'll find sections with articles, companies and commercials and video references.
