The project treated making its case in public as part of the work, not as publicity, and this section is what that produced: pointers to the exhibitions, conferences, European projects and organisations working on the same questions from other directions. The three pages below it collect conferences, reading material and partner demonstrations.

The quotation kept on this page — a sitting president of the United States calling 3D printing revolutionary in a State of the Union address — is here because of what it meant at the time. It marked the moment the subject stopped being a trade-press story and became a political one, which is exactly the shift this desk now follows in its own sections. That is also the honest limit of this page: it records interest, not results. What came of that interest, in regulation, in markets and in the factories themselves, is a question for current reporting rather than for an archive.
