Editor’s note

This is a reading list of conferences and exhibitions that the consortium considered close to its own subject, collected while the project was running. It was never a schedule of the project’s own appearances — that is a separate page in this archive — but a map of where the field was meeting and arguing at the time.

The value of the list now is in what it shows about the shape of the field. Printing conferences, flexible and printed electronics, additive manufacturing and lighting appear side by side, which is exactly the point the project was making: digital fabrication was not one industry with one annual gathering but several, each approaching the same set of machines from its own direction. The series names are stable enough to be searched: most of these conferences continued after the dates listed here, and their later programmes are the quickest way to see which of these threads grew and which stopped.

On this page conferences and exhibitions are listed that are in relationship with Digital Fabrication. On many of them you may meet consortiums members of Diginova personally.
